Singer
Shefali Alvares will be performing in the North-East for the first time on
March 10, as the songstress has been invited for Kaalrav ‘13 – an annual
college festival. This three-day event, by the Sikkim Manipal Institute of
Technology, will host a number of events including singing contests, dance
competitions, fashion shows, dramatics as well as robotics, web designing
competitions. Shefali is visibly excited about her gig.
She
says,”I’ve heard so much about the music scene there, that I’m really looking
forward to singing in front of the audience. It will be more of my
Hindi-Bollywood tracks rather than rock, but I also plan to throw in a few
English numbers like Rolling In The Deep and Another Brick In The Wall.”
Shefali adds that she’s spent a lot of time rehearsing. “Since the crowd will
be 17-21 year olds, I’m choosing more club and dance music. Most of my stuff is
electronic or upbeat tracks so I’m sure it will work well with the festival,”
she explains.
